Batu Pahat Quick Info
Well, because I just started this blog, it is better I start with something easy to type.
Batu Pahat, is one of 10 districts in the state of Johor Darul Takzim, MALAYSIA. My borndistrict and my truly district village area. Comply area 1,872.56 km ² and a population of 538.880 inhabitants (year 2007 estimate for the whole of my district Batu Pahat quotes from Wikipedia), Batu Pahat is a regional city and the second largest and most developed in the state of Johor Darul Takzim, MALAYSIA after Johor Bahru.
Neighboring districts to the districts of Kluang, Batu Pahat, Muar, Segamat and Pontian.
Capital district of Batu Pahat also the same name of this district, Batu Pahat, or also known as Penggaram. Based on the Wikipedia source in 2009, Penggaram is 12 largest cities, high population density and developed in Malaysia.
Batu Pahat district administration is divided into 2 local authorities, Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP - Formerly known as Batu Pahat Western District Council, MDBPB) and Yong Peng District Council (MDYP - Formerly known as the Batu Pahat Eastern District Council, MDBPT). Batu Pahat district also has a small district area under its administration, a small district of Rengit has 3 counties under the administration of small district areas, county of Sungai Kluang, county of Kampung Bahru and county of Sungai Punggor. Small district of Rengit also located under the administration of Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP).

Among the figures who were born or associated with the Batu Pahat district are :-
Dato Onn Jaafar :-
Founder of the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) in 1946. He had also served as Batu Pahat district officer during the British colonial era
Tun Hussein Onn :-
3rd Prime Minister of Malaysia, the son of Dato Onn Jaafar. During his assuming office, he was a Sri Gading member of parliament which also located in Batu Pahat. His name is now immortalized in a university located in the district of Batu Pahat, Malaysia Tun Hussein Onn University (UTHM).
Dato Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein :-
Son of Tun Hussein Onn and grandson of Dato Onn Jaafar. He is now a Home Minister of Malaysia. He is also a Vice President of UMNO Malaysia
Tun Sardon Jubir :-
Tun Sardon Jubir was one of the senior leaders in UMNO during Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj and Tun Abdul Razak when they becomes the Prime Minister of Malaysia at that time. He is also a former Governor of the State of Penang. His name is now immortalized in a secondary school in his native Rengit also located in the district of Batu Pahat, Tun Sardon Jubir Secondary School.
Dr Chua Soi Lek :-
He is a former Malaysia Minister of Health. He is a Deputy President of MCA Malaysia, he began his political career as member of Legislative Assembly (Assembly) Penggaram on an 70-year era.
Lim Kit Siang :-
Founder/chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). He was one of the leaders responsible for the DAP establishment which also fragments of the People's Action Party (PAP) in Singapore after the republic was split from the federation of Malaysia
Dr Syed Husin Ali :-
Deputy President of People Justice Party (PKR)
Tan Sri Vincent Tan :-
He was one of the premier billionaires in Malaysia. He is a chairman of Berjaya Group, he also owned Sports Toto, Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Hotels & Resort and others.

Kiyai Salleh :-

Lim Guan Eng :-
He is Malaysia DAP secretary and was studying at the High School Batu Pahat (HSBP). Every time there a general election in Malaysia, he will compete in the state of Malacca. However, in the Malaysia 12th general election in 2008, he contested in Penang. He won elections in the state and he is currently holding the post of Penang Chief Minister

Benteng :-
If you visit to Batu Pahat district, it not valid if you not stop by at Benteng or in English is the "fort", a famous eating place in Batu Pahat district. Among the most popular food is Beriyani Gam Mat Syah Rice located at Benteng facing the Putra Specialist Hospital.
BP Walk :-
At night, the city famous for its Penggaram "BP Walk" which is an area along Jalan Rahmat full of various types of food outlets including local and western tastes. BP Walk open until 3 or 4 o'clock every morning. BP Walk has also become the attention place for people who came from Kluang and Muar visitors at night.
Penggaram Square :-
Penggaram Square is a place where, many local people will visit with their families, their companion, friends or alone for relaxing themself. Normally, Penggaram Square more lively atmosphere at night.
Wet World Batu Pahat :-
Wet World Batu Pahat is the one and only, water theme park in the district of Batu Pahat. Although not as much bigger as Sunway Lagoon in Petaling Jaya and Malacca A Famosa Waterworld in but it was enough for Batu Pahat district citizens and citizens of neighboring districts going here for the "water playground" with families, couples, friends or alone happiness. This water theme park is located at Merdeka Lake.
Yong Peng :-
Is the second largest town in district of Batu Pahat after Penggaram City. Yong Peng is famous for its large-scale production of soy sauce. Now, Yong Peng better known as one of major satellite town to Penggaram City. Yong Peng is also a gateway to this district from Segamat district.
Parit Raja :-
Located in the county of Sri Gading, Parit Raja is also a major satellite town to Penggaram City. As well as the production of chips that delicious, Parit Raja also known as the Education Studies major hub in this district with Malaysia Tun Hussein Onn University (UTHM) became education institute leader.
Ayer Hitam :-
The town is famous for its prod name and title of ceramic town. There are many businesses in the town is devoted to the business sells goods ceramics, crafts, flowers, dolls and others associated with it. The town is also famous among the prospective bride in Johor Darul Takzim, MALAYSIA who needs for engagement, & wedding, all complete and available here. Ayer Hitam is also a gateway to this district from Kluang district. Ayer Hitam is located under the administration of Yong Peng District Council (MDYP).
Minyak Beku :-
Minyak Beku is famous fishing area among anglers in the Batu Pahat district.
Senggarang/Rengit
Although Senggarang and Rengit is a small town in this district but both the town is being rapidly developed apart from the main agricultural areas in the district. Rengit town is the main entrance to this district from Pontian district.
